Houston Strategic Forum Closes Summer with Presentation by Medical Strategist and Thought Leader
Osama I. Mikhail, Ph.D., senior vice president strategic planning, UT Health Science Center at Houston, will address the Houston Strategic Forum on “The Role of the Board in Strategy Development” when the organization closes the summer season August 23 . The monthly business luncheon for professional strategists and other involved in strategic planning and execution will take place in the French ballroom at La Colombe d’Or, 3410 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX 77006 from 11:30 to 1:30.
The August luncheon is co-hosted by the Greater Houston Partnership and is open to members of both organizations, their guests and other interested parties. In addition to serving as vice president strategic planning, Dr. Mikhail is also professor of management and polysciences at the UT School of Public Health where he teaches courses in strategic planning and in health-care finance.
Dr. Mikhail has been at the School of Public Health since 1989 and involved in strategic planning for 30 years at the Mead Corporation, Eli Lilly, the Sisters of Charity Healthcare System and St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System. He also has been a consultant on strategic planning at Westchester Medical Center in New York, at Duke University and Vanderbilt University Medical Centers, as well as for several large physician groups in Houston.
